EVERYWHERE/ANYWHERE (double A side mixtape)

When I was collecting tracks for a new mixtape I ended up with more than three hours of music. So I’ve decided to make a double A side mixtape, two separate one hour mixes, in two really different moods.

These are the soundtracks of your imaginary journeys.
Where do you wanna go? EVERYWHERE or ANYWHERE?

EVERYWHERE starts with slow drum and bass, continues with organic house and ends with deep disco, while ANYWHERE gravitates around disco and house.

Both mixes been recorded live, after a lot of planning, with no post-production.

As you might know me already, you might know that technology and new tools to be creative are superimportant to me. Currently I’m using Algoriddim’s brilliant djay app for DJing on my iPad, and I’m really flattered. They have a tool called Neural Mix, this technology allows DJs to play and remix singular elements from multiple tracks in real-time, I can instantly isolate beats, instruments, and vocals of any song. This is not only mind blowing, but also game changing. However, like any new technology it’s really addictive and overusing it is not always the best idea. I was trying to hold back my inner audio surgeon and I was trying not to overuse Neural Mix, but there are some (a lot) juicy drum and bassline changes, live remixing and trippy blends in these two hours. Neural Mix is not just an advanced DJ EQ, this can create dramatical and unexpected changes in the energy and flow of music, so be careful. My advice is simple, Neural Mix should be used together with EQ for creating the perfect flow. Live mashups and live remixing hasnever been more fun.

Turn these babies loud, I hope you will love them as much as I loved making them!
