BLANCAh - Shades

A bit more than five years ago an upcoming Brasilian DJ was the guest of our MIXTAPE MONDAYS series, a lovely girl from Florianopolis, BLANCAh. That mix quickly became the most popular MOARRR mix ever, and since then she captured the hearts and ears of zillions worldwide. She is not only a top DJ, but one of the most talented producers I know, and her sound magic indeed.

And here she is again. Live from Florianopolis, for Lost On You on Beatport Live. As she said: - I share with you this set that I consider particularly special. I recorded it on International Women's Day 2021, with the help of women I love, Manu, Larissa, and Raissa. I decided to use a minimalist aesthetic to feel free to let my body express itself in the shade. This set is also part of a fundraising project to build a school in Africa, an action promoted by the label Lost On You. Since 2020, Lost on You has been collecting funds to build a school in Sierra Leone with the organization Street Child Spain for School For Tomorrow - a program to build 1000 schools across Sierra Leone. Over 70% of children from the rural part of Sierra Leone don’t have the access to education which disqualifies them from improving their lives. -
