Matt’s new mashup deserves a great video. Here is the story for the vid, I started to build up the mood with the cover ;)
- the Girl jumps into her car after a huge argument with her boyfriend
- she switches on the music and drives away with smoking tires
- she goes to the desert and watches the sunset
- drives back to the Boy and they kiss
(in the uncensored version they have sex)
- they live together till the end of the world
don’t say its glitch, its 80’s pop;)
This amazing remix of Them Jeans was the MOTW recently and I needed an artwork. You know the rest of the story, don’t you ;) This cool coyote was posted by Them Jeans in his blog and I thought it could be a great cover too, so I only added the text.
DJ Zebra’s mash is about popularity, fame and hype. What can be better for his cover then Zebra himself getting emotional while playling his lovesong megahit at the EuroVision 2009? Of course its only a joke, but he looks like a pop singer in this pix, hehehe. So I added some stadion feeling…
McSleazy’s great remix needed some artworkfor the APC post, so I made one ;) Basically I just hacked an original Charlatans artwork. So it looks so official now. So when the band will release this as an official remix they don’t have to think about the cover for so long :D You are welcome!
My favorite duck teamed up with one of his most famous colleges in this mashup golden oldie. Rubberduck (who is most famous of leading the Convoy) seems to be very satisfied in the original movie poster, so that great poster was a must to use and turn it to an mp3 cover. I guess you’ve seen the movie
When Matt first showed me this brilliant mashup I was stunned, blown away and kicked out….
…and there was a huge smile on my face. This mash is one of the best ones I heard in ages, I will deffo use it in my DJ sets and even in a mixtape. I had to do something coverwise. But I tell you this was a dammmm hard procedure. Maybe its just me, maybe its the title, or the Bon Jovi theme, dunno. It was very hard to find something what fits to every element of this mix. I’m really happy with the final result I think its almost as good as the track itself :D
two dropped cover versions for Matt Hite’s mashup
the right pic was the first time when I’ve met with these cartoon guys
I’ve really enjoyed to made this. I think Clivester’s The Odd American Gangster concept is great and saucy. Bootlegging the most famous bootlegger is something like paying homage in his style, if you know what I mean. Here is the story in nutshell. Dangermouse, the hairier one from the Gnarls Barkley, is a musical genius. Years ago he made an album by mixing the Beatles’ White Album with Jay-Z’s Black Album. The Grey Album became a milestone in the music history and kickstarted/catalyzed the mashup culture. So, when Clive asked me to make the artwork for this I decided to make something mashy too. My artwork is a visual mix of the two original covers (at the bottom). My aim was to create something which helps to identify the album and its content without even listening it. I think it works ;) Make sure to grab the album with the full design pack.
