let me introduce my new friend to you
yuppp, my Samsung Galaxy Tab has arrived an hour ago
will write more and longer about it later
but here are my first impressions
- it’s a bit bigger and heavier than I thought
smaller and lighter than the iPad for sure
it’s about the size of a DVD case, but narrower
- I’ve only used it with wifi and for an hour but I’m stunned
it’s powerful, fast and addictive
- typing on it is great, much much better than on a phone
- it’s extremely responsive, games are HUGE FUN
- but the real killer function is web surfing, in one word: WOOWWW
now I gotta go
you know, more testing :D
if you have questions, shoot ;)
on APC we’ve just posted up the mikrosonic RD3 groovebox
but this is really good and I have to share it here on Tumblr as well
this is the best music production tool on Android ATM
go and get it!
I’m raving around my house ATM with my Galaxy S
wooohooooo
Simon Iddol’s recommended Android apps

many of you are asking me about Android apps and about Galaxy S
here is a simple way to keep you updated
I’ve registered on AppBrain
which is probably the best tool to discover and manage Android apps
it works from your computer and from your phone as well
I made my applist public, so you can see what I use on my phone
BUT
I download, test, use, play around with many apps
and most of them are only for blogging and testing purposes
so I’ve created a dedicated list to my fave Android apps
this way you can find my faves easily
each app on the recommended list is a gem, try them!
the list is updated frequently
so make sure to check it weekly!
Android developers, feel free to contact me
if I like your app, I will help you to make some hype
so here are my fave Android apps
(my current fave is not on the list, cos the TweetDeck is beta ATM)
Simon Iddol’s recommended apps
13 total, 12 free (92%), 1 paid (7%), 16MB total size, $3.76 total price
yes, the official Tumblr for Android app is out now
I’m using the beta on my Galaxy S for a while
and I love it
posting on the run never been easier
perfect for sharing photos and quick tex posts, links etc.
and also great for checking out the Dashboard from anywhere
it’s a must have app for everyone with Android 2.1 or above
as I’ve tweeted few minutes ago I got a cool DJ app…
…for my phone!
yes, I’m DJing on my Samsung GalaxyS in my studio at the moment
the app is called DJStudio and of course it runs on Android
my first impressions are great
I’m really up for more adventures with this baby
the app works with mp3’s and wavs
you can do many things with it, just like in the laptop DJ softwares
I will test it and let you know about my thoughts
life is crazy, technology RAWKZ and this is only the beginning
the world is not ready for gadgets like the Galaxy S ;)
it’s not a superphone, it’s a secret weapon :D
massive THX to Damien @ Beatronik for the app
now I’m off to spin few more tracks from my SD card, hihihi
Simon Iddol powered by Samsung Galaxy S

do you remember this mysterious post?
finally I can tell you what’s going on
Samsung got me involved in the campaign of their latest superphone
the mighty Android based Galaxy S
my ‘job’ is basically the same what I do every day in the last four years
to be Simon Iddol and use the Internet to entertain you
since I started this Simon Iddol thing I’m working 16-18 hours on it every day
it became my dayjob, it became my life
APC turned into an international blog network and creative community
and I became Simon Iddol for real
I’ve seen and I’m using the latest tools for my things
and a device like this is extemly useful for me
as I’ve tweeted few days ago
I got back my real life thanks to the mobile Internet
most of my daily routine is communication
with the labels, producers, agencies, artists and with my team
now obviously I can do it everywhere
but thats not the most important
I’m really excited about the Android platform and the Android community
I wanna discover it, help it and boost it
just as I did with the mashup scene
so
if you’re doing things related to Android, feel free to contact me
my main objectives are the audio and music apps of course
but also the social networking, the communication and the creative tools
I’m really flattered about this possibility
and all I can say is
wooow, dis thinggy is totally dope, let’z do stuff with it ;)
